Firstlight Photography in Puyallup offers Military Discounts on Wedding Photography

Firstlight offers Military discountsWith our business being located so close to Ft. Lewis & McCord Air Force Base we have had a chance to work with quite a few military couples.  We understand the difficulties a military couple can face when planning a wedding, from cost concerns to deployment.   Our military couples do not pay sales tax, so the price you see is the price you pay.   While we do require a deposit to hold your wedding date we understand that you may be deployed and this is something you can’t control.  At Firstlight we will allow you to change your wedding date due to deployment without any additional charge.  When you pick your new wedding date we just continue as before.  If for any reason we can not cover your new wedding date (we do have several photographers so this hasn’t been an issue)  we will refund your deposit.

Since most of our packages include an engagement session we allow you to use that session any way you like.  We have done bride only shoots, bride & groom as well as glamour shots after the wedding for the wife to send to her husband while deployed.  We even had a new bride want to make a calendar for her husband to take with him to Iraq.  You name it and we’ll help you do it.

For the bride that is looking for a great wedding dress, but is still looking for a great price we suggest checking out All That Shimmers in Lakewood.  The owner, Karen, has a great eye for picking out the perfect wedding dress, but first she will let you try on any dress you like.   Karen is a great help and a wealth of information so give her a call and schedule a time to see her or drop in.  Just a warning, dropping in on a Saturday can be very busy.  As further verification of how great Karen is to work with, All That Shimmers was voted the best bridal boutique by Evening Magazine and KING 5.

About Firstlight Photography

Kier is from Orange County and Mitzi is from just outside Chicago. We both moved to Seattle in June of 1995- but it took until 2006 for us to actually meet. We saw the same concerts and we both had the same Capitol Hill sushi haunt but it took over 10 years for our paths to finally cross. When they did we had no idea that our careers would collide into a fabulous partnership. We share a common love of music and photography. Kier caught the photo bug years ago and Mitzi always had a love of art and a mind for business. When we aren’t out on a photo shoot you can find us roller skating with our kids, hosting Martha Stewart eat your heart out dinners (Kier is the chef & Mitzi is the baker), watching movies -we share a love of “Strange Brew” (which should be slightly embarrassing, but we own it), or doing DIY projects with our insanely crafty kiddos. We are located between Seattle and Tacoma any frequently travel throughout Washington, Oregon and California. You can book us for your destination wedding or event and we will give you a reasonable travel quote (our passports are ready). Life is good and we work hard to convey this in our work. There is nothing more rewarding that receiving a note from a client’s mother thanking us for doing a great job on her daughter’s wedding photos. Call us and we will do a phone consultation or meet over coffee to talk about your photography needs, answer questions and, if we are a good fit, we can devise a variety of package options.
