We love hanging out with the expectant mamas.   Once upon a time many of these women were wedding clients.  As a family owned business we are able to take a very personal approach to our work and business.  We run into our couples at Costco, at movies, concerts and all around the Puget Sound.  It is like running into an old friend.  We spend so much time helping clients prepare and really, we spend an entire wedding day with them – more than any family member.  So, when we get that call requesting maternity photos we are so happy.

Tricia Fisk, wedding planner extraordinaire, from Weddings Realized is such a fun client.  She and her husband Chas have stopped by our home studio twice for a 6th and 7th month maternity photo session.

Having Fun @ Your Shoot

These pictures show a couple not afraid of a good time.  At Firstlight Photography we want you to have fun during your session.  We never take ourselves too seriously – and we won’t let you!  Our goal is to get natural shots.  For our shy clients we pull out the studio dogs.  Actually, who are we kidding?  The dogs love to have their pics taken so much that sometimes we need to put them in our office.

Takin’ it on the Road

At 8 months we are heading to the Fisk’s home to do some nursery photos and hopefully – weather permitting – some outdoor shots of this super fun couple.

Shooting for Two – Maternity Photography

We love working with Nikki because she has fun with her shoots and she doesn’t hold back.  For her second pregnancy she wanted to have several sessions along the way.

For many of our expectant moms we like to bring our studio to their home – it is a convenience for the family and it just makes the photos more personal.  We also make sure that our mom’s get the full celebrity treatment – making it a day that is all about them!

The day after the last shoot Nikki and her family welcomed their new baby girl Tori.  Congratulations Nikki, Mike and big sis Bella!
